Wind (Yellow)
Very windy weather will continue. Winds will be easing from the west through the day but not clearing Caithness and north Aberdeenshire until early evening. The warning has been updated to delay the expiry time, this targeted at the eastern edge of warning area. Other changes have been to remove Shetland, which looks less likely to see the strongest winds, as well as Northern Ireland, where the strongest winds have now cleared. The high winds will probably lead to some bus and train services taking longer, with likely delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and likely restrictions on bridges. Short term loss of power and other services is possible.
