Much of the rainfall will occur in a short time period. Winds will gust widely 40 to 50mph inland with 60mph possible in coastal areas.

Some short term loss of power and other services is possible. Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer. Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely. Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
