Coastal Event (Yellow)
Locally moderate vessel icing is expected in coast- and fjordareas from thursday morning
Rapid ice accumulation on a small boat may cause it to lose its stability, tip over and sink. For ships the issue is more directed towards slippery decks, handrailing, ladders, iced down safety boats and safety equipment. Ice accumulation may also damage radio communication if the antennas are freezing. Moderate ice accumulation on the bow/bridge of the ship.

Remove ice from the boat.
Nordland
Until 23.01.2021 06:00 CET
Wind (Yellow)
Friday evening and early Saturday morning it is still expected locally strong wind gusts from east and southeast up to 30-35 m/s
Loose items may be taken by the wind. Possibly cancelled departures for ferry, plane, or other transport. Bridges may be closed. Some journeys may have longer travel times. The power supply may be impacted, due to tree(s) falling over. Some roads may be closed due to trees or other objects in the road. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads. The strong wind may cause locally high waves in fjords and lakes.

Secure loose objects. Avoid unnecessary journeys to exposed places. Follow advice and check status from transport operators. Check road reports (175.no). Be careful in coastal areas.
