Finnmark

Snow/Ice (Yellow)
From Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning expected locally above 20 cm snow. In combination with easterly strong breeze to gale force wind this may produce significant blowing snow and locally difficult driving conditions. This area has already recieved a lot of snow lately which may lead to additionally challenges in conjunction with this new snow fall and blowing snow conditions.
Vulnerable infrastructure can be affected due to accumulation of snow. Travel time may increase on some journeys. Local driving conditions may become difficult. Blowing snow causes reduced visibility and possibly convoys and/or closed roads.

Vulnerable installations and objects should be protected. Allow some extra time for transportation and driving. Use tires fit for winter conditions and use caution while driving. The need for emergency preparedness shall be assessed continuously by emergency response actors.
